“…Although cyclic dodecanuclear zinc complexes have been reported as single molecules [52] and SBUs of POPs/MOFs, [53,54] these cyclic complexes are supported by mixed-ligand systems, such as a combination of pyrazole and 2-mercaptoethanol or isophthalate, diol, and DABCO. The molecular structures of cyclic complexes consisting of carboxylato ligands and other 3d metals, such as Mn, [55] Fe, [56] Co, [57][58][59] Ni, [60,61] and Co/Cr [62] have been determined. However, small bridging ligands such as alkoxido, [55,56] hydroxido, [58] and fluorido, [62] are often used to construct cyclic structures.…”

“…Low nuclearity transition metal complexes with strong magnetic anisotropy and first-order angular momentum, such as high-spin Co(II)- or Fe(I/II/III)-based complexes, are used as the simplest nanomagnets. Cobalt(II) is a potential candidate for single-ion magnets due to its anisotropy, noninteger spin, and zero-field splitting. Single molecule magnetic behavior is exhibited by Co II complexes with D < 0 under zero field above 2 K, while those with D > 0 also exhibit slow magnetic relaxation behavior, but it requires a small direct-current (dc) field to exhibit similar properties. The acetate anion is a versatile bridging group that can coordinate with metal ions to create various multinuclear transition metal complexes. , The magnetic anisotropy and magnetic relaxation dynamics can be controlled by tailoring the ligand around the metal ions. However, a rational approach merging experimental and theoretical studies still has to be developed …”

“…Cobalt was considered to be a good choice as the metal ion due to the strong magnetic anisotropy property and to give intriguing magnetic characteristics of spin‐canting . To date, a large number of Co(II/III) clusters, Co 7 , Co 8 ,, Co 9 , Co 10 , Co 11 , Co 12 ,, Co 13 , Co 14 ,, Co 15 , Co 16 , Co 18 , Co 19 , Co 20 , Co 24 , Co 27 /Co 28 , Co 32 , Co 36 and Co 52 , have been reported.…”
