A mechanochemically synthesized porous organic polymer derived CQD/chitosan–graphene composite film electrode for electrochemiluminescence determination of dopamine

Abstract: CQDs were obtained from a POP derived porous carbon via nitric acid oxidation. CQDs/CG composite film with special properties were fabricated and used for ECL detection of DA in human body fluids.

“…To understand the electrochemical behavior of a CQD film, GCEs were modified by casting 10 μg of CQDs, followed by 1 μg of chitosan to prevent CQDs dispersing in electrolyte solution. Chitosan was used to allow the CQD film to interact with solution species, and for its stability in neutral solution pH (pH > 6.5) (Suginta et al, 2013 ; Wu et al, 2014 ; Xiong et al, 2014 ; Yan et al, 2016 ; Eksin et al, 2017 ; Gonzalez et al, 2018 ; Sun et al, 2018 ; Tashkhourian et al, 2018 ; Pan et al, 2019 ; Sisolakova et al, 2019 ; Yang et al, 2019 ). CV scans show a strong reduction centered at −1.7 V and a slight oxidation peak at 1.3 V in Figure 4C .…”

“…In 2019, the group of Zhou proved the versatility of mechanochemical Friedel–Crafts alkylation by generating a hyper-cross-linked polymer from 1,1,2,2-tetraphenylethene as the starting material. 272 As described above, 89 anhydrous FeCl 3 was added to the milling jar to promote cross-coupling, and milling was performed in a planetary ball mill at 500 rpm for 35 min.…”

“…During a mechanochemical reaction, the collision of the milling balls with the walls of the milling vessel, with the milling material and with themselves results in the transfer of mechanical energy to the involved particles, which initiates a chemical reaction 50,51 . Recently, Lewis acid catalyzed reactions, such as the Scholl coupling reaction or the Friedel‐Crafts alkylation, prevailed for the mechanochemical synthesis of POPs, as they revealed to be both rapid and straightforward and do not require expensive metal catalysts 52–59 …”
