“…Some authors (Khan et al, 2002) observed sensible variations of NaOH solution conductivity due to the contribution of CR-39 by-products during the etching process: in particular it has been noted that after 6 h at 70 C the conductivity of the blank solution (NaOH 6 M) increased of about 13% while the one employed for an etching process had a conductivity value about 45% higher.
