A simple and fast method for determination of benzocaine and lidocaine in pharmaceutical formulations by capillary electrophoresis with spectrophotometric detection

Abstract: A novel, simple, and rapid method for the determination of the anesthetics benzocaine and lidocaine in pharmaceutical formulations using capillary electrophoresis with spectrophotometric detection (210 nm) is proposed. In this method, the sample preparation was fast and simple, using only aqueous dilution or extraction with sonication aid. A background electrolyte composed by 10 mmol L ‐1 of monosodium phosphate with pH 2.1 allowed the separation of the anesthetics with good peak resolution in less than 5 min.… Show more

“…Явным преимуществом использования данного метода является отсутствие мешающего влияния неорганических анионов, бензойной, аскорбиновой и сорбиновой кислот. Фосфат-ион может количественно определяться в рамках приведенных условий анализа [9][10][11][12].…”

“…Therefore, analysis of lidocaine in biological materials is needed in the clinical and forensic chemistry fields. Numerous techniques have been reported for lidocaine determination in biological samples, such as GC, LC, and CE tech-niques [22][23][24][25]. Furthermore, for selective determination, some MIPs-based lidocaine analyses have been reported for actual biological samples [26,27].…”
