Indonesia's population increasing from 238.5 million to 305.6 million from 2010-2035 cause increase of energy supply to meet energy consumption needs and also correlate with global warming. One of them is from the oil and gas sector. The process of it production is divided into upstream process which starts from hydrocarbon extraction to become a ready-to-sell product and downstream process comprise of processing to consumer consumption. The research objective of this paper is to find out the upstream process of oil and gas industry as well as the impact that may be caused. The upstream process of the oil and gas industry begins with land clearing, hydrocarbon drilling / extraction from within the earth, feasibility testing, development and production, distribution, storage and distribution possible to the first consumer. From these activities, the impacts are caused by the decrease of air quality mainly due to the burning of flare gas and tool mobilization, the decrease of water quality, and the deterioration of soil quality.

In the event that the discharge goes to enter the channel surpasses the channel ability, than would happen floods of genuine harm to the environment around the channel. Applying the dynamic wave model, the discharge amount could be predicted in the frequent flood region if the information of discharge upstream is found out. Many numerical schemes could be utilized to discover answers to the system of differential partial equations. We proposed the usage of the staggered method to find out the solution of the system. The numerical scheme shall be used to predict the top discharge in a frequent flood region and create a flooded pocket to diminish the top discharge in the region. Based on the outcome of the numerical simulation, we may claim that a stable scheme has been created to acquire the approach resolve of the equation partial system. The staggered scheme is capable of investigating the impact of the presence of the flood pocket especially lessening the top discharge.

Dynamic equations of flow in a rectangular inclined channel are solved numerically for the case where the friction force of the channel wall is neglected by the gravity force. The flow discharge and the cross-section area along the channel are physical quantity that is calculated. In non-dimensional variables, the equations indicate solution in traveling wave occurring for critical flow. Near that type of flow, the perturbation method is applied to get second order equations that are first order partial differential equation with external force from the lower order equations. Numerical solution is obtained by predictor-corrector method, and the effect of these second order equations can be observed to the traveling wave, depending on the type of the flow, su-percritical or subcritical.
