A Zinc Phosphate Structure with Unusual Double‐Sheet Layers Templated by a Cobalt Hexaammine Complex

Abstract: A new layered zinc phosphate, [Co(NH 3 ) 6 ] 3 [Zn 8 (HPO 4 ) 8 -(PO 4 ) 2 ](PO 4 ) (ZnPO-CJ68), has been successfully prepared by using cobalt hexaammine as a template. Single-crystal structure analysis revealed that the structure of ZnPO-CJ68 contains double-sheet layers constructed by strict alternation of Zn-and P-centered tetrahedra. The host framework of the double-sheet layer features unusual 3D microporosity with 8-

“…In 1998, Wendelbo's group [4] presented the high-throughput technique into zeolite syntheses, which has showed its formidable strength in the fast optimization of synthetic conditions of known zeolites [5][6][7] and in the discovery of new structures [8][9][10]. Many metal phosphates [11][12][13][14][15][16] have attracted much attention because of their unique physical and chemical properties in optics, electronics and magnetism, and exhibited great potential applications in the fields of separation, adsorption and catalysis [17,18] due to various metal ions doped in these compounds. Lately, using phosphite group to replace tetrahedral phosphate group to afford new metal phosphites have attracted great attention [19].…”
