As postponing action strategy, for the last moment the procrastination is one of the factors causing the problems in study. The objective of the study is identification of links between indicators of academic procrastination, stressors, responses to stressors and academic achievements. The research was implemented on the base of sample which amounted 435 from 17 to 25 years old (М age = 19,03). The comparative procrastination analysis among groups of students with different levels of academic performance has shown that student with low level of achievement are inclined to more often suffer from procrastination, be lazy impulsively make a decision during the establishing of their personal time, care frustration, stress and anger. The correlation analysis data allow for the conclusion that a high level of procrastination is related to stress and academic failure. The analyse of links between procrastinations and stressors, and also reactions on it among students has shown that the higher the social anxiety, failure avoidance, procrastination frequency, lazy, worse perfectionism and impulsive, the higher he values all stressors and impressive of reactions on it. In this way, academic procrastination impedes the effectiveness of student study, effects on performance, contributes to stress, that undoubtedly impacts on professional development of future specialists.

Article devoted to the analysis of personal, professional and organizational factors’ influence on level of procrastination in employees of modern Russian industrial organization. It was found that level of procrastination in employees determines special aspects of typical behavior patterns in occupational situation, subjective appraisal of job difficulties, personality and behavioral deteriorations and special aspects of organizational culture. The results of regression analysis revealed significant personal, professional and organizational predictors of procrastination in modern employees: outgoing (sociability), innovativeness, detail conscious and conscientious. Besides, work environment characteristics such as content and importance of job tasks are significant predictors of procrastination too. Personality and behavioral deteriorations (anxiety and depressive syndrome), adaptive collaborative process, social desirability make a contribution to regression model predictiveness.

The Relationship between Volitional Regulation and Procrastination in University Students

<p>The article is aims to clarify the features of relationship between volitional regulation and procrastination. The results of an empirical study obtained on a student sample are presented. The study involved 1-4 years university students of Lomonosov Moscow State University (N=304) from sociology, chemistry and mechanics and mathematics faculties (average age 19.58 years old, st. dev. 1.57). The following techniques were used: the formalized self-rating technique of V.A. Ivannikov, E.V. Aidman, "Action Control Scale" by J. Kuhl in adaptation of S.А. Shapkin, Purpose in life test of Crumbaugh and Maholick in adaptation of D.A. Leontiev and General procrastination scale (C. Lay) in adaptation of O.S. Vindecker and M.V. Ostanina. The results show that students with more developed volitional regulation are less prone to procrastination. There were no significant differences in the indicators of volitional regulation and procrastination between students of different courses and faculties.</p>
