Alcohol Use Disorder Increases the Risk of Irritable Bowel Disease

Abstract: Alcohol use disorder (AUD) is considered a possible risk factor for irritable bowel syndrome (IBS); however, previous studies investigating the association between AUD and IBS have yielded inconsistent results.
