All-pass group delay equalization using S-plane poles with equal frequency spacing

Abstract: A new approach for deriving the all-pass transfer function required to equalize the group delay of a known network transfer function o r to realize an arbitrary specified delay requirement is presented. An iterative computer algorithm was developed for a PC which is significantly simpler than presently described methods that appear in the literature, thus helping the designer solve difficult group delay equalization problems.
