“…Dekker et al, 31 compared 79 adult female asthma outpatients with 30 female normal subjects and 100 women patients at a psychoanalytic institute by use of the Heron Two-Part Personality Inventory, a relatively new paper-and-pencil inventory. The authors reported no differences between asthmatics and neurotics on this test, but they did find significant differences between asthmatics and normals; these findings seemed to support the hypothesis that asthmatics are neurotic.…”
