An analysis on anthropogenic degradation of volcanic relief in the Cappadocia Volcanic Province

Abstract: Bu çalışmada Kapadokya Volkanik Provensi'ndeki, Pliyo-Kuvaterner yaşlı volkanik rölyefin antropojenik (insan kaynaklı) degradasyonu (bozulması) analiz edilmiştir. Prov… Show more

“…Anthropogenic geomorphology; It examines man-made landforms within the scope of many factors, the relief changes on the surface, the morphometric dimensions of this change and its effects on many natural elements, especially topography, with various systematic methods (Walker, 1991;Goudie, 1993;Jefferson, Wegmann & Chin 2013;Harden, Chin & English, 2014;Tarolli, 2016;Verburg, Dearing & Dyke, 2016;Brown vd., 2017;Ertek, 2017: Li vd., 2017Tarolli vd., 2019;Xiang vd., 2019;Cao, Sofia & Tarolli 2020). The concept of anthropogenic geomorphology in Turkey, has begun to show a slow but steady progress in recent years with different approaches (Efe vd., 2008;Ekinci, 2006;Özşahin, 2013;Ertek, 2016;Karataş, 2016;Kopar, Çelik & Bayram, 2018 The research basically consists of three main parts. These sections consist of the production of the anthropogenic geomorphology map of the site, the determination of the anthropogenic originated geomorphological changes and the statistical relational analysis of the factors in the change.…”

“…World reserves of REEs are132 million tonnes (Balaram 2019), but REEs reserves potentially in Turkey are approximately 50 million tonnes (Öztürk et al, 2019). The Çanaklı, Kızılcaören, Karacaören, Kuluncak, Divriği, Keban, Kemiklitepe, Kızıldağ, Seydişehir, Şarkikaraağaç, Aksu, Doğankuzu and Sofular in Turkey, contain important potentially sources of REEs mineralisation (Deady et al, 2016;Yıldız et al, 2016;Kopar et al, 2018;Akıska et al, 2019;Öztürk et al, 2019). Moreover, Agostini et al (2019) investigated by some trace element contents, in particular the LILE and the REE of the youngest volcanic rocks in the region (Elazığ, Karakoçan, Tunceli, Mazgirt, Pertek).…”
