Abstract. In the past decade, global competition are forcing firms to increase their level of outsourcing for raw or semi-finished products and building long term relationship with their supply chain partners. The objective is to present a wide-ranging decision making technique for ranking supplier alternatives in view of the effect of selected criteria. A proposed method is developed aiming the usage of Fuzzy-Rasch model applying five point Likert scale for criteria weight and Grey based COmplex PRoportional ASsessment (COPRAS-G) method for evaluating and ranking the potential alternatives, as per criteria. The applicability of the induced methodology for supplier selection problem in all environments is shown through a case study in telecommunication sector. A sensitivity analysis is performed based on changing weight patterns of criteria to show the stability in ranking result of the proposed approach. Further, a comparative analysis between the ranking results of proposed method done with existing grey multi-attribute decision-making methods viz. VIKOR-G, ARAS-G and TOPSIS-G using spearman's correlation coefficient for checking the reliability of the ranking result.

In the past decade, there has been an increasing interest in green supply chain management, which integrates environmental thinking into supply chain management. Assessing a supplier's potential for improvement is very important when an organization wants to achieve certain environmental targets concerning their supply base, taking into account the limited resources available. In this paper, incorporating environmental evaluation criteria into a comprehensive supplier segmentation approach called 'supplier potential matrix' (SPM), a green supplier segmentation is proposed to segment the suppliers. Two overarching dimensions-supplier's capabilities and supplier's willingness-are used to evaluate the supplier's green potential. The two dimensions are measured by multiple criteria. A sorting method called ELECTRE TRI-rC is used to solve the resulted multi-criteria decision-making problem. In order to make a more meaningful distinction, a simple method is also proposed to assess the suppliers with respect to the carbon footprint of the raw materials they supply. The results of this assessment are combined with the ones of the SPM, resulting in a more useful segmentation. Designing Green Supply Chains (GSCs) requires complex decisionsupport models that can deal with multiple dimensions of sustainability while taking into account specific characteristics of products and their supply chain. Multi-Criteria Decision Making (MCDM) approaches can be used to quantify trade-offs between economic, social, and environmental criteria i.e. to identify green production options. The aim of this paper is to review the use of MCDM approaches for designing efficient and effective GSCs. We develop a conceptual framework to find relevant publications and to categorise papers with respect to decision problems, indicators, and MCDM approaches. The analysis shows that (1) the use of MCDM approaches for designing GSCs is a rather new but emerging research field, (2) most of the publications focus on production and distribution problems, and there are only a few inventory models with environmental considerations, (3) the majority of papers assume all data to be deterministic, (4) little attention has been given to minimisation of waste, (5) numerous indicators are used to account for eco-efficiency, indicating the lack of standards.
