Anaesthetic efficacy of intraoral topical lidocaine and prilocaine in nanostrusctured lipid nanocarriers: a randomized clinical trial

Abstract: In a randomizedplacebo-controlledcrossover trial the present study evaluated if nanostructured lipidnanocarriers (NLC) could improve the topical anaesthetic efficacy of lidocaineand prilocaine (L+P) incorporated in a xanthan-hydrogel on the oral cavity.There was no difference among topical formulations in reducing pain duringneedle insertion or local anaesthetic injection.
