Analisa Struktur Dependensi Variabe Pembentukan Asuransi Pertanian Berbasis Indeks Cuaca dengan Multivariat Copula dan Vine Copula

Abstract: The purpose of this study is to analyze the structure of the dependency on variables for calculation of insurance based on weather indices such as crop prices, yields, and rainfall. The object of research observation was secondary data on the sub-district of Dlingo Bantul District. In analyzing the dependency of variables that can be used in agricultural insurance calculations, it can be seen that both using multivariate copula and vine copula have the same results. A multivariate copula that directly looks at… Show more

“…In statistics, a dependency of multivariate variable can be seen by using Copula technique (Hidayat, 2019). Copula is one of the statistical methods used to determine the relationship of two or more variables, in which case the distribution can be normal or not.…”

“…Yield-based agricultural insurance is seen as conventional agricultural insurance because it is based on losses suffered by the insured [5], [13]. The loss is obtained based on the probability of crop loss in the area under the density function curve when the yield is less than the maximum guaranteed yield [14].…”
