“…are a source of phenolic compounds, with an amount being 23.6 mg acid gallic equivalent/g of dry extract. The occurrence of polyphenols in the NHSE is consistent with previous chemical investigations in fruits of Nitraria species since flavonol and anthocyanin derivatives have been identified (Halim et al, 1995;Khoo et al, 2010;Zheng et al, 2011). Because previous data reported that many of these secondary metabolites are capable of exerting endotheliumdependent vasodilation involving NO production (Chan et al, 2000;Schmitt and Dirsch, 2009), it cannot be excluded that such compounds contribute to the effects of NHSE.…”

“…For A. littoralis, the new acetylated flavonol glycoside was isolated from the aerial part (Bylka, 2004). In the study of Zheng et al (2010), nine anthocyanins were identified in two variations (purple fruit and red fruit) of Nitraria tangutorum by HPLC/DAD-ESI/ MS. Cyanidin-3-O-(trans-p-coumaroyl)-diglucoside and pelargonidin-3-O-(p-coumaroyl)-diglucoside were the main anthocyanins in the purple and red fruits respectively. The extract of the two variations showed important and different antioxidant activity according to DPPH, ABTS and FRAP assay.…”

“…ethanol, cyclodextrins and deep eutectic solvents); however, acetonitrile and methanol were used in most of these analytical processes (Sik, ; Zeng et al ., , ; Eldin et al ., ; Assassi et al ., ; Tan et al ., ). Acetonitrile, methanol, trifluoroacetic acid and high concentration of formic acid solutions were frequently used as HPLC mobile phases to analyse anthocyanins from various sources (Welch et al ., ; Barnes et al ., ; Zheng et al ., ; Su et al ., ). Sang et al .…”
