Kamena-mena (Clerodendrum paniculatum. L) is a plant that has the potential as a source of natural antioxidants. Traditionally, Kamenamena is used to treat rheumatism, ulcers, neuralgia, inflammation, wounds, antipyretics, eye diseases. 7 Several studies have reported that C. paniculatum leaves have pharmacological activity, such as anti-bacterial activity, 8 antioxidant activity, 9 anti-inflammatory activity in vitro and in vivo, 10 and antioxidant activity in vitro and antiinflammatory in vivo. 11 This study aims to evaluate the antiradical activity of extract and fractions of Kamena-mena (Clerodendrum paniculatum Linn) leaf using the DPPH (2, 2-diphenyl-1-picryhidrazyl) and ABTS (2, 2'azino-bis (3-ethylbenzothiazoline-6-sulfonic acid) method and determination of phenolic and flavonoid contents.
