“…The phytochemical study of this species demonstrated the presence of quercitrin, a glicosidic flavonoid, and also tanines, saponines, resins and essential oils in the tips, as well as inulin and rutine diterpines, quinine acid, rhamnoides and caffeic acid, chlorogenic and hydrocynamic and their derivates in the roots (Torres et al, 1989).
