In agreement with the present study, some investigations showed that dietary intake of phenolic compounds such as flavonoid, resveratrol, and anthocyanins may have a beneficial role in weight management (Azzini, Giacometti, & Russo, ; Bertoia et al, ; Jennings, MacGregor, Spector, & Cassidy, ; Tabrizi et al, ).
