Application the 3D Image Analysis Techniques for Assessment the Quality of Material Surface Layer before and after Laser Treatment

Abstract: In the paper authors presented the application of specific method of assessment chosen properties of coating layer, that give additional information strictly connected with its tribology properties. Nanotomography techniques and 3D image processing gives quantitative and qualitative information about the testing sample, with no negative effects on the exanimating layer. Two samples, one with and one without the laser treatment were tested, measured and obtained results presented and discussed. Those preliminar… Show more

The obtained results may be very inspiring for other researcher focused on surface layer (Bara et al, 2009;Korzekwa et al, 2018;Radek et al, 2014;Radek et al, 2018;Skoneczny et al, 2018), corrosion resistance (Szabracki and Lipinski, 2013;Lipinski and Wach, 2014) andassociated with thempractical image analysis methods (Gadek-Moszczak and Wojnar, 2009;Gadek-Moszczak et al, 2014;Wojnar et al, 2019). It may also influence uncertainty quantifications methods (Kozien and Kozien, 2017;Pietraszek et a., 2017a;Pietraszek et al, 2017b;Pietraszek et al, 2018), recently very popular due to usability of surrogate models and associated with the uncontrolled factors of the natural environment.…”

“…It should be also inspiring for researchers focused on protective coatings (Wlodarczyk et al, 2011;Bara et al, 2016;Korzekwa et al, 2018;Radek et al, 2018), especially in implants (Dudek and Włodarczyk, 2010;Dudek, 2011) and surface layers modifications (Skoneczny et al, 2007;Bara et al, 2009;Kmita and Bara, 2012;Skoneczny et al, 2018;Szczotok et al, 2018;Bara et al, 2019) investigated by image analysis methods (Gadek-Moszczak et al, 2014;Gadek-Moszczak et al, 2015).…”

“…Obtained results may be used in construction of heavy-duty machines hydraulic systems (Pobedza and Sobczyk, 2013;Krawczyk and Sobczyk, 2018) or in a precision control of a flow in biotechnology reactors (Skrzypczak-Pietraszek et al, 2018). A methodology presented may be also useful in materials science, in modeling of structure modifications (Lipinski and Wach, 2014) or surface modifications (Gadek-Moszczak et al, 2014;Bara et al,2016;Opydo et al, 2016;Radek et al, 2018). It may be also used in an uncertainty quantification (Pietraszek et al, 2016;Kozien and Kozien, 2017) and related risk management (Kielbus and Karpisz, 2019) as a tool for construction of a surrogate model (Ferdek and Kozien, 2013).…”
