“…To fill a research gap detected in strategic CSI literature, the authors investigated conceptually and empirically the direct and indirect relationships between USR and USIS – in terms of SA, ISI, SSI and ISVC– and gaining an SCA at quality-accredited faculties of an emerging market during COVID-19 pandemic. To achieve this purpose, a conceptual model was presented and a mixed-methods approach was exploited to harvest the fruits of using quantitative and qualitative techniques in the data collection of social and business research (Claydon, 2017; Adel, 2020; Younis and Adel, 2020; Thomas and Pugh, 2020). The authors formed a data collection team that contacted all the quality-accredited public and private/international faculties, of which 109 faculties in 11 Egyptian governorates responded and their quality units filled questionnaires that were analysed by SEM.…”

“…As for adopting the mixed-methods approach in BCT studies, Werner et al (2021) advocated using both qualitative and quantitative techniques to capture profound understanding and thorough insights about this emergent research area. Integrating quantitative and qualitative methods of data gathering was reported in management literature (Adel and Younis, 2019;Younis and Adel, 2020) as being a beneficial approach for adopting comprehensive analysis of the research problem. Further, contemporary literature (Post et al, 2018;Kurpjuweit et al, 2021;Motta et al, 2020;Rogerson and Parry, 2020) that studied the application of emerging BCT to SCs supported the utilisation of non-probability snowball sampling technique in case of having a hidden population that does not have a formal published list accessible by the researcher.…”

“…A related line of research (e.g. Younis and Adel, 2020) is currently studying artificial intelligence (AI) as another breakthrough technology, which has faced similar obstacles during its execution yet also attracted massive attention from academics and professionals because of its ability to use machines in simulating human intelligence while processing and transforming big data into meaningful decisions/forecasts. The relationship between AI and BCTAS was discussed by few studies (e.g.…”

“…AI can be used to provide personalized training and development opportunities for employees. AI-powered learning management systems can identify the specific learning needs of individual employees and provide them with customized training programs (Younis & Adel, 2020). This can help to ensure that all employees have access to the training and development opportunities they need to succeed in their roles.…”

“…AI can be used to provide objective assessments of employee performance. AI-powered performance management tools can help to eliminate bias in performance evaluations and ensure that all employees are treated fairly and equitably (Younis & Adel, 2020). AI can also help to identify areas where employees need additional training and support.…”
