This study applies the ICF to identify the patient's body function, structure, and participation, evaluates the patient's environmental factors and individual factors, and is a high level of movement to return to the society of patients with multiple ligament injury of the knee joint. Methods: Progressive strength training and ROM exercise were performed 30 minutes a day, 5 times a week for 6 weeks. The evaluation was performed by examining the ROM, length, MMT, instability, dynamic balance, pain and depression. Results: The ROM of the knee joint was improved from 110° to 135° after intervention, and the knee flexion length decreased from 69 cm to 45 cm. Knee flexor is Good after intervention from Poor-, and knee extensor is Good+ after intervention from Poor, and the plantar flexor of the ankle joint improved from Poor-before intervention to Good after intervention and dorsi-flexor of the ankle joint improve to Good from Poor. Pain index was moderate before and after the intervention, with a score of 3, 2 after the intervention, and when maintaining the sitting cross-legged, the before intervention score was 7 to 4 after the intervention. Conclusion:The patient's posture of sitting cross-legged was maintained from 30 seconds before intervention to 14 minutes after intervention. These results were able to set the hypothesis design, intervention method and goal that the multifaceted approach of environment and individual factors as well as body function and structure area, activity and participation area using ICF checklists, it is helped the patient to return to daily life.

Predictors of the Effectiveness of Medical Rehabilitation of Patients with Cerebral Palsy

INTRODUCTION: Cerebral palsy (CP) is one of the most common causes of disability in children. The use of clinical tools that will allow the prediction of results is necessary for the medical rehabilitation of children with CP. Although clinical and socio-economic factors that determine the prognosis of rehabilitation and further social adaptation of patients with CP are being actively investigated, predictors that help predict the effectiveness of medical rehabilitation measures are not yet identified. AIM: To determine the predictors of the effectiveness of medical rehabilitation in children with CP using anamnesis, scales, and questionnaire data. MATERIALS AND METHODS: The study involved 29 children (average age, 5.4 1.1 years) with various forms of CP who underwent medical rehabilitation in inpatient and outpatient conditions within 12 months. Before and after rehabilitation courses, all patients, apart from general somatic-clinical and neurological examinations, underwent tests that use specialized questionnaires and scales and evaluation using the International Classification of Functioning, Disability and Health (ICF) Core Sets for children and adolescence with cerebral palsy. The patients were arranged into groups depending on the presence of improvement determined using the author-developed criterion: reduction of the determinant level relative to function and activity and participation components of ICF by a minimum of at least one point in three domains. Various uni- and multivariate logistic regression models were used to evaluate the prognostic significance of history, scales, and questionnaire data. Receiver operating characteristic curves were constructed to determine the threshold values of quantitative parameters optimal for predicting a certain treatment outcome. RESULTS: The Gross Motor Function Measure 88 score of 82.1% before the rehabilitation measures indicated a positive rehabilitation prognosis. ICF domains b760 control of voluntary movement functions, d415 maintaining a body position, and d710 basic interpersonal relations are predictors of the effectiveness of rehabilitation in patients with a CP with determinant level 1. CONCLUSION: The results demonstrated that higher parameters of motor and coordination functions and higher levels of interpersonal interactions of children with ICP are significant predictors of the effectiveness of rehabilitation.

A Systematic Review on the Physical Rehabilitation of Children with Cerebral Palsy: Focusing on Domestic Literature

Purpose: This paper sought to classify, analyze, and investigate domestic research papers on the physical rehabilitation of children with cerebral palsy, and to suggest a direction for rehabilitation after the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic. Methods: A literature search was conducted from June 1 to June 30, 2022, and only papers published in domestic journals during the past 10 years were searched. The main search term was "rehabilitation for children with cerebral palsy", and "rehabilitation" such as "exercise rehabilitation," "equestrian rehabilitation", and "aquatic rehabilitation" were reviewed when they appeared in the titles and abstracts. A total of 18 books were selected according to the exclusion criteria. Results: Rehabilitation by area was divided into exercise rehabilitation, Bobath rehabilitation, equestrian rehabilitation, and aquatic rehabilitation. Analysis was undertaken based on the period of rehabilitation, area wise from 2012 to 2017, except for aquatic rehabilitation, which was studied once in 2020. The intervention effects of exercise rehabilitation were summarized as PICO (Participants, Intervention, Comparison, Outcome), and most of the studies showed improvements in the subject's physical functions. Conclusion:Research on the physical rehabilitation of children with cerebral palsy is being conducted in multiple directions and through several methods. In addition to the Bobath and Vojta approaches, equestrian rehabilitation, aquatic rehabilitation using the buoyancy of water, and computer rehabilitation are conducted. For the physical rehabilitation of children with cerebral palsy in the context of COV-ID-19, programs that are linked with families and those that incorporate Information Communications Technology (ICT) could be developed.
