Objective:To analyze the effectiveness of an educational intervention with mothers to stimulate children under two years of age at risk for neuropsychomotor development.Method:Before-after intervention study, conducted with 52 mothers of children under two years old, enrolled in reference centers in early childhood education. Initially, maternal knowledge regarding child development and stimulation was assessed through a structured instrument. Then, workshops were held with the mothers and, after three months, maternal knowledge was revised, reapplying the data collection instrument. In the analysis, descriptive and inferential statistics were used, applying the McNemar and Wilcoxon tests and the Rasch Model from the Item Response Theory.Results:after the intervention, there was a significant increase in scores regarding the following aspects: knowledge of mothers about child development and stimulation from 5.77 ± 1.85 to 18.60 ± 1.94 (p <0.001); reduction of the maternal difficulty index in answering the instrument questions from 1.17 ± 0.57 to -1.98 ± 1.63 (p 0.01).Conclusion:the educational intervention contributed to the improvement of maternal knowledge regarding the development and forms of child stimulation, corroborating the importance of this action to advance the health of children at risk under maternal care at home.

The birth of a premature baby can cause impairment in the child's development, requiring a critical analysis from the health professional of their performance in the care directed to this public and their family. There is lack of scientific literature focused on the promotion of functional development of premature infants, making necessary the use of technologies that help the family in home care. Objective: To understand the knowledge and practices of caregivers of prematurely children, about the functional development mediated by an intervention with an educational technology. This was a qualitative, descriptive, exploratory and intervention research, with 11 mothers of prematurely born children, followed up by a service in a city of Minas Gerais. Performed in three steps. The first still in the follow up service, the second and third consisted of home visits. The analysis originated the categories “Expectations related to the educational material”, “Experiences with the educational material” and “Changes in care aroused by the appropriation of the educational material”. The work of the health educator articulated with an educational technology focused on promoting the child development of premature children contributes to the resignification of knowledge and everyday practices of care directed to this public.

A educação em saúde é uma área de conhecimento voltada à saúde pública que passou por amplas rediscussões nos últimos dez anos, podendo ser aprofundada por todos os profissionais em espaços de atuações diferentes. O progresso na tecnologia de comunicação e informação e a propagação da internet abriram as barreiras geográfico-temporais de alcance à educação profissional; logo, as tecnologias são os instrumentos que podem ser utilizados para simplificar a aprendizagem e o ensino para população. O objetivo deste estudo foi realizar uma revisão integrativa referente aos estudos científicos que desenvolveram tecnologias na área da saúde no período de 2013 a 2017. Esta pesquisa, por meio dos artigos, é empreendida nas bases de dados Scielo, BVS e Pubmed. Foram incluídos os estudos originais, disponíveis e completos, que discorriam acerca do tema tecnologias desenvolvidas para educação em saúde, nos idiomas português, inglês e espanhol. Encontrou-se 2418 referências na base do Scielo, 71 na BVS e 197 na Pubmed, dentre os quais foram selecionados 19 artigos para a análise final, dentre os quais a área da Enfermagem foi a que mais publicou, a maior produção foi oriunda da região Norte do Brasil e houve um aumento na produção no ano de 2017. Diversos materiais didáticos foram desenvolvidos para educação em saúde, sendo o mais frequente a cartilha.
