Due to the spread of corona virus, healthcare systems are facing significant strain, with an increase in demand for medical supplies and healthcare professionals. Many solutions were proposed in that sense, especially with the emergence of the Internet of Things (IoT) as a powerful communication and information technology. This paper proposed one of the approaches targeting the environmental health as a whole. This is especially to decrease the pressure on health systems during crisis times. It is mainly about the creation of a real-time corona virus monitoring system. It is in the form of a wristband that measures the blood oxygen levels and the body’s temperature. These measurements are essential in determining a patient’s health status and the need for immediate ICU intervention. Additionally, the wristband has a tracker that can be used to monitor the patient’s adherence to social distancing guidelines. Once the patient’s parameters are above a certain threshold, the doctors and health professionals are notified instantly. This device is very optimal in terms of energy consumption. It is considered as a promising tool in handling the spread of the virus by providing patients and healthcare providers with instant access to healthcare services, regardless of their location.

Healthcare is an important part of life. Sadly, the spread of Covid-19 has strained the majority of health systems and the demand for resources from hospital kits to doctors and nurses have become extremely high . However, the significant advancement in the computing sector have led to the emergence of Internet of Things (IoT) which has now become one of the most powerful information and communication technologies due to its capability to connects object such as medical kits, monitoring cameras, home appliances and so on… Capitalizing on the efficiency of data retrieval from smart objects in the health sector, it is clear that a solution is necessary and required to improve the health sector in the era of Covid-19 pandemic while continuing to provide a high-quality care to patients. In this paper, a real-time covid-19 monitoring system is introduced in a form of an IoT based bracelet that measures body temperature and blood oxygen level, which are essential factors for determining the patient’s condition and whether he needs a quick intervention to enter ICU room. The bracelet also has a GPS tracker to determine the patient’s commitment to quarantine and social distancing. Based on the study conducted with more than 50 medical stuff, the IoT based bracelet was identified as a promising tool that can help control the spread of the covid-19 virus, by providing a modern access to medical healthcare services anywhere and anytime which is useful for the patient and hospital management stuff.

The Internet of Things (IoT) devices are able to collect and share data directly with other devices through the cloud environment, providing a huge amount of information to be gathered, stored and analyzed for data-analytics processes. The scenarios in which the IoT devices may be useful are amazing varying, from automotive, to industrial automation or remote monitoring of domestic environment. Furthermore, has been proved that healthcare applications represent an important field of interest for IoT devices, due to the capability of improving the access to care, reducing the cost of healthcare and most importantly increasing the quality of life of the patients. In this paper, we analyze the state-of-art of IoT in medical environment, illustrating an extended range of IoT-driven healthcare applications that, however, still need innovative and high technology-based solutions to be considered ready to market. In particular, problems regarding characteristics of response-time and precision will be examined. Furthermore, wearable and energy saving properties will be investigated in this paper and also the IT architectures able to ensure security and privacy during the all data-transmission process. Finally, considerations about data mining applications, such as risks prediction, classification and clustering will be provided, that are considered fundamental issues to ensure the accuracy of the care processes.
