Abstract:Brunner’s gland adenomas, also referred to as hamartomas, polypoid harmartomas or as nodular hyperplasia, are rarely accounted for in clinical practice. In this communication the case of a patient with massive bleeding from a Brunner’s gland adenoma is reported. The pathophysiologic, diagnostic and therapeutic aspects of these lesions are reviewed.
