a b s t r a c tBy considering the energy efficiency legislations among the European Union, Turkey is responsible to provide regulations to comply for the latest European Energy Performance of Buildings Directive 2010/31/EC. New legislation in Turkey requires information about the evaluation of energy performance of existing buildings. This study aimed to determine energy performance of residential buildings in Izmir, regarding significant relationships between their performance and architectural configuration through statistical analysis. The focus was on the heating energy consumption due to Energy Efficiency Law (2007) and Building Energy Performance Regulation (2008), and Standard Assessment Method for Energy Performance of Dwellings (KEP-SDM). This energy performance assessment method was based on Turkish standard TS 825, and European standard EN ISO 13790. It is known that architectural configuration of buildings and design norms have impact on energy performance of buildings. However, emphasis was given on significant values of architectural considerations through certain area-based ratios. The levels of these ratios were matched with the levels of energy consumption. By this, the consideration was to take early-precautions against high energy consumptions in the early design stage and to enhance legislation by adding recommendations of concrete architectural values. These would assist to predict the level of energy performance in the early design phase. Findings would provide feedback information on the residential building stock inİzmir, Turkey.

ARTIGO DE REVISÃO Páginas 01 de 05 não para fins de citação RESUMOPráticas sustentáveis no espaço escolar são ações importantes que visam à redução do consumo energéti-co e de recursos naturais, as quais podem melhorar as condições de conforto ambiental de salas de aula, auxiliando no rendimento escolar e diminuindo riscos à saúde dos escolares. Objetivo: revisar práticas arquitetônicas sustentáveis que possibilitem otimizar as condições de conforto visual, térmico e acústico no espaço escolar. Resultados: com base na literatura, constata-se que a utilização da iluminação natural é uma das ferramentas sustentáveis mais importantes para melhorar o conforto visual em salas de aula. Para melhorar o conforto térmico, estratégias básicas de ventilação natural são fundamentais. A utilização de materiais naturais ou reciclados é uma alternativa aos materiais tradicionais para melhorar o conforto acústico. Considerações finais: a utilização de estratégias adequadas na concepção do projeto arquitetônico ou reestruturação de espaços construídos, bem como recorrer a materiais alternativos, melhoram o conforto ambiental de salas de aula e reduzem o impacto ambiental.

Isıl konfor bireyin bir ortamdaki ısıl şartlar içinde kendisini rahat hissetmesi ve bu şartlardan doğan sağlık sorunları ile karşılaşmayacağı bir ortamın özellikleridir. Konforlu bir ortamda algı, kavrayış, dikkat, verim, performans değeri yüksek olacaktır. Günümüzde konfor şartları sağlanırken, konfor şartlarından taviz vermeden en az enerji tüketiminin gerçekleşmesi (enerji verimliliği yüksek binalar) sağlanmalıdır. Bu çalışmada, Edirne'de bulunan yükseköğretim (Trakya Üniversitesi Mimarlık Fakültesi) yapısındaki, merkezi kalorifer sistemi ile ısıtılması yapılan ve doğal havalandırmalı sınıfların iç ortam konfor şartları (iç ortam sıcaklık, bağıl nem, ortalama radyan sıcaklık, hava akış hızı) ve "Isıl çevreden memnuniyet" (PMV) ile "Isıl çevreden memnuniyetsizlik" (PPD) indisleri araştırılmıştır. Ölçümler eş zamanlı olarak kış (Kasım-Aralık) aylarında dersliklerin kullanım sürecince (hafta içi) ölçüm cihazı ile belirlenmiştir. Ölçüm sonuçları istatistiksel olarak analiz edilerek, elde edilen sonuçlar, ilgili standartlara (Ashrae 55, ISO 7730) göre karşılaştırılmıştır. Örnek yükseköğretim yapısında elde edilen ölçüm sonuçlarının genel olarak ilgili standartlardaki değerleri aşmadığı görülmektedir. Abstract: Comfort requirements of the work environment affects people's physical and mental production speed. Thermal comfort is the feeling of being comfortable of individual in the thermal conditions of an environment and the characteristics of the environment that cannot be faced with health problems arising from these conditions. In a comfortable environment, perception, comprehension, attention, efficiency, performance value will be higher. Today, while ensuring comfort conditions, the realization of minimum energy consumption without sacrificing comfort requirements (energy-efficient buildings) is an indispensable rule. In this study, indoor environment comfort conditions (indoor environment temperature, relative humidity, mean radiant temperature and the air flow rate), thermal environment satisfaction (PMV/ Predicted Mean Vote) and thermal environment dissatisfaction (PPD/ Predicted Percentage Dissatisfied) indices are investigated in the building that was analyzed as an example of higher education building (Trakya University, Faculty of Architecture) heated with central heating system and has naturally ventilated classroom. Measurements was carried out by measuring devices simultaneously (November-December) during the use of classrooms (weekdays) in the winter. Measurement results were analyzed statistically; the obtained results were compared with the relevant standard value (Ashrae 55, ISO 7730). The example of the higher education building shows that the obtained measurement results don't exceed the relevant standard values generally.
