Capacitively Coupled Phase-based Dielectric Spectroscopy Tomography

Abstract: Impedance imaging is an effective approach for non-intrusively reconstruct the distribution of dielectric parameters inside the region of interest. Most common form of impedance imaging is electrical impedance tomography (EIT), which requires direct contact with the medium via electrodes. In this work we present a novel impedance imaging using capacitive coupling which provides a contactless method, totally non-invasive and non-intrusive, by measuring the phase. There are less attentions in many prior works to… Show more

“…After carefully choosing the regularization parameter, we optimized the image by deleting the artifacts. A more detailed description of the proposed TV method for CCERT can be seen in [15]. To be able to compare this method with the binary CNN algorithm, the TV-reconstructed images were the thresholds for the binary images.…”

“…[ 81 ] Furthermore, the subwavelength patterning allowed GST to be switched more efficiently, i.e., with lower energy consumption, and faster. On the other hand, the use of other GST alloys, such as Ge 2 Sb 2 Se 4 Te 1 (GSST) [ 82–84 ] or Ge 2 Sb 2 Se 5 (GSS), [ 85 ] with smaller optical losses at both phase states in the telecom wavelength range has also been proposed to implement nonvolatile photonic devices with lower insertion losses.…”

“…Electromagnetic induction detection has developed many research branches. For example, Capacitively Coupled Electrical Impedance Tomography (CCEIT) uses low-frequency electric field to study the permittivity of biological tissues [ 19 , 23 ]. However, the capacitive sensor used in the CCEIT method has low sensitivity in the deep part of the brain.…”
