Interestingly, in both cases the closest ancestral relationships of viral strains O/UGA/3/2002 and U04/11(Namatovu, Belsham, et al, ) are strains previously circulating in Kenya during 2000 (K145/00) (Balinda, Sangula, et al, ) and 2010 (K2551/2010) suggesting that the circulation of these lineages in Uganda might be a product of introduction from elsewhere.…”
