Abstract: The hydrocarbons lepidopterene (l), sym-dibenzylidene-dirnethyltriasterane (3, and 2,Cdiphenylbicyclo[3.3.0]octa-2,&diene (8) are sources of intense emission of red light upon UV-excitation under specified experimental conditions (solutions, glassy media, crystals).
