The study aimed to determine the characteristics of farmers and to calculate the allocation of family work time in the management of an integrated Bali cattle business in oil palm plantations to be carried out in October-December 2022 in Wiwirano District, North Konawe Regency, Southeast Sulawesi. The research location was determined intentionally, and the respondents were determined by accidental sampling by taking 15 respondents in each village so that 60 respondents were obtained. The results of the survey and identification show that the characteristics of farmer-breeders in Wiwirano District, North Konawe Regency, are generally dominated by productive age (83%), a low education level (50%), main job as a farmer (98%), experience in farming livestock (57%), experience in oil palm plantations >20 years (73%), and the number of family dependents is 4-6 people (68%). The average time spent on family labor in the Bali cattle business is 3.65 HOK (11%), while the average time spent on family labor in the oil palm plantation business is 30.6 HOK (89%).

Laying hens represent a promising livestock sector with considerable potential, known for its positive impact on public health. This research delves into an in-depth analysis of the intricate channels and strategies involved in egg marketing within Kendari City. The study is scheduled from January to April 2023 and will employ a meticulous selection of locations. With a primary focus on laying hen breeders, the investigation aims to examine all aspects of egg distribution comprehensively. The study’s scope encompasses a comprehensive exploration of various dimensions, including characteristics of respondents, marketing agencies, marketing channels, marketing margins, costs, and profits associated with each marketing agency. These variables are meticulously measured and subjected to qualitative and statistical analysis. The findings of the research reveal the existence of four distinct patterns in the egg marketing channels operating within Kendari City, (1) breeders → companies → wholesalers → retailers → consumers, (2) breeders → companies → wholesalers → final customers, (3) breeders→ companies → traders’ retailers → consumers, (4) breeders → companies → consumers. The first marketing channel pattern’s largest margin is IDR. 17.500/rack, while the fourth marketing channel’s lowest margin is IDR. 4.000/rack. The fourth marketing channel, IDR 5.318/rack, has the largest investment. The first marketing channel, with a profit of IDR. 12.182/rack is the most profitable. The fourth marketing channel, which has the lowest marketing margin value, is the most effective marketing channel employed by end users.

Objective: The success of the beef cattle business, of course, does not only improve input, production, and post-harvest management but also must be balanced with marketing management. Theoretical framework: A marketing agency is urgently needed in the beef cattle business to move the business from producers to consumers. A marketing agency can facilitate the movement of businesses up to the consumer level. These agencies have varied forms, such as individuals, associations, or individuals. Beef cattle marketing agencies are breeders, collector traders, and wholesalers. Method: The research was carried out in Merauke Regency. The research location was determined by purposive sampling or deliberately based on the consideration that Merauke Regency had the largest beef cattle population in Papua. The population in this research was beef cattle breeders and traders in Merauke Regency, taking three towns in each area with the biggest populace. The number of respondents who were taken was 15 breeders in each town, so the overall number of respondents was 45 breeders, whereas the census took dealers. The sampling of breeders was carried out using an accidental sampling technique and met the prerequisites, specifically, having sold hamburger cattle with more than five long times of cultivating encounters. Results and conclusion: The results of this research indicated that there were four marketing channels for beef cattle, namely breeders-final consumers, breeders–collector traders-final consumers, breeders- wholesalers-final consumers, breeders-collector traders-wholesalers-final consumers. The largest margin marketing agency was the wholesalers on marketing channel III of IDR 1.800,772/head, with a profit of IDR 1.450,772/head. Meanwhile, the lowest margin marketing agency was collector traders in marketing channel II of IDR 529,891/head, with a profit of IDR 261,891/head. The most productive showcasing channel utilized was channel II since it had a smaller advertise productivity esteem than promoting channel IV. Implications of the research: The beef cattle marketing system in Merauke consists of 4 marketing channels, namely breeders-final consumers, breeders–collector traders-final consumers, breeders-wholesalers-final consumers, breeders- collector traders-wholesalers-final consumers Originality: The novelty of this research lies in the range of research locations. So far, it has only focused on a few village areas and sub-districts, while the research covers all Merauke Regency sub-districts.
