Circulatory disease supermortality in the Russian federation in comparison with advanced countries

Abstract: The dynamics of mortality in Russia between 1990 and 2002 is analyzed in comparison with developed countries. The notion of supermortality is introduced, and its main component is identified-circulatory diseases, which reduce l longevity, increase death rate and decrease the average death age in Russia.
