Teaching Project Management module to undergraduate students is important and has been globally considered in multiple academic disciplines by many higher institutions. Students in undergraduate level encounter difficulty in understanding the topic of project management since there have no prior knowledge before the course. This paper aimed to determine the effectiveness of flipped teaching and active learning in Project Management module for undergraduate students in Civil Engineering. However, the paper discussed the effective practices in teaching and learning project management and their impacts into students’ learning experience, and assessments development and marking. The Padlet and SurveyMonkey e-tools were used to collect students’ feedback on the instructor practice; either by tagging comments or filling questionnaire. The results indicated that the use of multiple in-class activities and digital technology in a flipped classroom are important to enhance students’ performance. It is also observed that the use of multiple assessments engaged students deeply with the course and provide deeper learning. Students’ performance in summative assessments showed that there is a noticeable improve in student’s scores in the current semester in contrast with previous semester where traditional teaching was practiced.

The purpose of this study was to improve the conceptual understanding of students using model-based teaching about the human skeletal system in grade seven. Quasi-experimental research was employed pre-and post-test, control and experimental group design. Out of four sections, two sections (n = 132) were selected using simple random sampling techniques. The data were gathered by tests, observation and informal assessment. The data obtained from tests were analysed quantitatively through mean, standard deviation, independent t-test and the observation and informal assessment data were analysed qualitatively. The pre-test results indicated that there was no significant mean difference and p>0.05 between the two groups. Similarly, the result of pre-informal assessment showed that students in both groups had common misconceptions about the topic. The post-test results revealed that model-based teaching approach exhibited significant changes compared to the traditional groups of students. From the results of this study, it is possible to conclude that the model-based teaching approach improves students' conceptual understanding, participations and clear misconceptions compared to the students taught by traditional teaching approach. Based on the finding it was recommended that the modelbased teaching approach should be encouraged for teaching and learning biology.

For decades, questioning about effective method in a teaching learning process has been considered consistently in educational research. The existence of revised curricula forces teachers to renew or improve the teaching method used refers to the current edition. In fact, the teachers keep their teaching method caused of several concerns. Considering to the current issues, this study aims to investigate the teaching method applied by student teacher during teaching practicum, whether they tend to use modern or traditional teaching method. The participants of this study is ten learners of the eight grader at junior high school whose teacher is student teacher that conducting teaching practicum in their class. Since it is case study, student observation checklist and semi-structured interview were applied in gaining the data. The result revealed that the teaching method used by student teacher is modern method, even though; she combined it with conventional method incidentally
