Competition of Distributed and Multiagent Planners (CoDMAP)

Abstract: As a part of the workshop on Distributed and Multiagent Planning (DMAP) at the International Conference on Automated Planning and Scheduling (ICAPS) 2015, we have organized a competition in distributed and multiagent planning. The main aims of the competition were to consolidate the planners in terms of input format; to promote development of multiagent planners both inside and outside of the multiagent research community; and to provide a proof-of-concept of a potential future multiagent planning track of the… Show more

“…The benchmark used in our experiments includes twelve domains proposed by Štolba, Komenda, and Kovacs (2016) for the distributed track of the first international competition on distributed and MA planning (CoDMAP), and four domains MA-Blocksworld (shortly, MA-BW), MA-Blocksworld-Large (MA-BW-L), MA-Logistics (MA-Log), MA-Logistics-Large (MA-Log-L), which were derived by Maliah, Brafman, and Shani (2017). In the following, these latter four domains are abbreviated to MBS.…”

“…Finally, we compared our approach with other three existing approaches, MA-SIW, which is the approach mostly related to our work, the best configuration of MAPLAN, and PSM. MAPLAN and PSM are the best two planners that took part in the CoDMAP competition ( Štolba, Komenda, and Kovacs 2016). Table 4 shows the results of this comparison for the CoDMAP domains.…”

“…We implemented our compilation, based upon the script which was used to convert MA-PDDL to PDDL representing a centralized planning problem from the first Competition of Distributed and Multiagent Planners (Stolba, Komenda, and Kovacs 2015). 2 We remark that while we have described the compilation for a grounded MA-STRIPS setting, most of the compilation can actually be done on the lifted level of MA-PDDL, and our compilation performs partial grounding where it must.…”

“…For the experimental evaluation, we use the distributed track setup of the CoDMAP 5 ( Štolba, Komenda, and Kovacs 2016) competition including all 12 benchmarks. Each agent runs on separate machine with i5-4460 3.4GHz processor and 8GB memory and has its own problem and domain input files.…”
