Concepts and Issues with Interspecies Scaling in Zoological Pharmacology

Abstract: Zoologic medicine practitioners take approved agents (veterinary or human) and extrapolate their use to nonapproved species. The decision on dose, duration, and interval is often made with limited species-specific pharmacokinetic information.
