Congestion cost analysis of Condongcatur signalized intersection Sleman, D.I. Yogyakarta using PTV. Vissim 9

Abstract: The congestion cost is one of the most important consideration when congestion happens. One of the most frequent congestion is in the intersection. And one of the intersections in Yogyakarta Special Region is Condongcatur signalized intersection, Sleman. This study aims to analyze the congestion cost of intersection by using PYV. Vissim 9 as a traffic microsimulation model. For the congestion costs, the author uses Tzedzakis, 1998 approach. The results show that in the existing condition, the average delay is … Show more

“…The data validation aimed to test the modeling that had been made. Specifically, it was evaluated by making a correlation between the number of real vehicles and the number of vehicles captured in the model by determining correlation coefficient based on the value of R squared (R2) [11]. The data validation was demonstrated in the table below.…”

“…Moreover, freight or goods transports and buses occupied the third and fourth ranks with a number of about 10 million [1]. The high growth of these vehicles is one of the causes of traffic congestion in urban roads, especially in commercial areas [2,3,4]. In addition to the problem of congestion, the growth of motorized vehicles will also have an impact on the needs of a larger area for parking spaces of vehicles, especially for motorcycle parking lots, as motorcycle is the most dominant vehicle used in many cities in Indonesia.…”
