Control of a hydraulic wind power transfer system under disturbances

Abstract: Abstract__ Hydraulic wind power transfer systems deliver the captured energy by the blades to the generators differently and through an intermediate medium i.e. hydraulic fluid. This paper develops a control system for a nonlinear model of hydraulic wind power transfer systems. To maintain a fixed frequency electrical voltage by the system, the generator should remain at a constant rotational speed. The fluctuating wind speed from the upstream applies considerable disturbances on the system. A controller is de… Show more

“…In 2016, Zhang et al [29] further optimized the control model and obtained a more accurate and efficient control system. In 2014, the Energy Systems and Power Electronics Laboratory of the Indiana University--Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI) in the US constructed a hydraulic wind power system model that can resist fluctuations of high and low wind speeds by adjusting the simplified second-order model parameters [30]. In 2015, experiments that considered the proportional valve were verified [31], although it remains in the theoretical verification stage because of the lack of a mature product.…”
