Abstract:Source of material 0.0396 g (0.30 mmol) glutaric acid and 0.0595 g (0.30 mmol) 1,10-phenanthroline monohydrate were added to a stirred aqueous solution of Dy(NO3)3 · 5H 2 O (0.1316 g, 0.30 mmol) in 10 ml doubly-distilled water. The resulting mixture (pH = 5.0) was loaded into a 23 ml Teflon-lined stainless steel autoclave, which was heated at 170°C for three days, affording colorless crystals. The composition was confirmed by thermogravimetric analyses (weight loss for six moles of H2O molecules per formula un… Show more
Three chain-based GdIII complexes based on three types of multidentate O ligands have been successfully constructed via hydro/solvothermal reactions. They exhibit good thermal stabilities and large magnetic entropy changes.

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
