An 85-year-old man, a wood processing worker native to and resident in Shandong, China, attended our dermatology clinic for a 10-year history of the verrucous plaque on the back of his right hand. This lesion began as a red papule after trauma. With time, it gradually increased and formed a warty plaque with crust on the surface, accompanied by mild pruritus and pain. A variety of drugs had been applied to treat the lesion (details are unknown), but there was no significant improvement. The patient was otherwise in good health. Physical examination revealed an irregular, well-demarcated, verrucous plaque on the patient's right hand, covered with yellow thick crusts, without pus and exudate (Figure 1).
