Away from the pressures of the Ministry, he devotes long hours and devours countless cups of teh halia (a local brew of ginger tea) researching on the Moorish Science Temple of America and the Nation of Islam which has been published in several academic journals as well as featured on the websites of these religious movements. Her areas of expertise include contemporary Paganism, nationalism, and the governance of Islam in Russia.
