RESUMO:Objetivou-se caracterizar o perfil sociodemográfico e clínico de pacientes acometidos por disfunção sexual e o uso de drogas de um Centro de Atenção Psicossocial III de Minas Gerais, Brasil, entre 1997 e 2013. A amostra foi composta por 173 pacientes atendidos no serviço. Mais da metade dos pacientes é do sexo masculino (53,75%), possui entre 21 e 60 anos (92,4%) e com procedência de familiares (66,5%). Quanto ao uso de drogas, as mais prevalentes foram cocaína e crack (20,8%), álcool (20,2%) e fumo (16,8%). Dos diagnósticos de disfunção sexual, predominou ausência ou perda do desejo sexual (19,1%), falha de resposta genital (14,5%) e apetite sexual excessivo (14,5%). Parte deles recebe tratamento via permanência dia (52,0%), ficam por 31 a 60 dias (46,8%) no Centro de Atenção Psicossocial, mas 53,2% abandonam o tratamento. A partir do conhecimento das características dos pacientes, as equipes multiprofissionais poderão aprimorar a assistência e o planejamento das atividades exercidas. PALAVRAS-CHAVE: Disfunção Sexual. SEXUAL DYSFUNCTION AND THE USE OF DRUGS: A DIAGNOSTIC ANALYSISABSTRACT: This study aimed to characterize the sociodemographic and clinical profile of patients suffering from sexual dysfunction and drug use in a Psychosocial Care Center III of Minas Gerais, Brazil, between 1997 and 2013. The sample consisted of 173 patients attending the service. More than half of the patients were male (53.75%), aged between 21 and 60 years (92.4%) and with family background (66.5%). Regarding the use of drugs, the most prevalent were cocaine and crack (20.8%), alcohol (20.2%) and tobacco (16.8%). The predominant diagnoses of sexual dysfunction were the absence or loss of sexual desire (19.1%), failure of genital response (14.5%) and excessive sexual appetite (14.5%). Some of them receive treatment (52.0%), are seen for 31 to 60 days (46.8%) in the Psychosocial Care Center, but 53.2% abandon the treatment. From the knowledge of the characteristics of patients, the multidisciplinary teams can improve the care and planning of the activities provided.
