Abstract: Friction Stir Welding is a process of joining metals without filler and without melting the base metal. The system uses the work of the FSW tool with a rotating cylindrical indenter to heat with friction material. Making tools for FSW process includes the selection of materials, testing the chemical composition, microstructure, tool design, heat treatment process on the tool, and testing tools.
