Abstract: IntroductionDaunorubicin (DNR), discovered in the early 1960s, is an anthracycline antibiotic with antiblastic and anticancer activity, which is linked by the formation of intercalative complexes with DNA and the inhibition of both DNA and RNA synthesis.
