“…In congruence with the views of Fox (1992) and research conducted by others (Harris, 1995;Crowhurst et al, 1993;Parcel et al, 1987) the results of this study suggest that the idea of allocating large chunks of time for health-promoting activity and integrating health-related fitness content within lessons aimed primarily at teaching pupils the skills and strategies needed to participate in different sports and activities is very difficult to implement and may well be unworkable.
