It is desired to provide rapid access to health information on the Internet and to determine the relationship between rational drug use that affects people's quality of life. In this study, it is aimed to examine the relationship between e-health literacy and rational drug use in university students. In line with the purpose of the research; The sample of the study consisted of 541 people determined by simple random sampling method among the students continuing their education at the university, and the data were collected by applying a face-to-face questionnaire. In the study, "Personal Information Form", "E-Health Literacy Scale" and "Rational Drug Use Scale" were used. The data were analyzed with the SPSS program. In addition, as an analysis method, it was determined that the data were normally distributed; t test, ANOVA and pearson correlation analyzes were applied in independent groups. 541 students participated in the research.As a result of the research, it was determined that there is a positive and significant relationship between the level of e-health literacy and rational drug use. It is predicted that as the level of e-health literacy increases, the level of rational drug use will increase.

Amaç: Bu araştırma akılcı ilaç kullanımına ilişkin verilen eğitimin sağlık hizmetleri meslek yüksekokulu öğrencilerinin bilgi düzeylerine etkisini belirlemek amacıyla yapılmıştır. Yöntem: Ön test, son test düzeninde yarı deneysel tipteki araştırma, bir sağlık hizmetleri meslek yüksekokulunun 176 öğrencisi ile 2021-2022 eğitim öğretim bahar yarıyılında gerçekleştirilmiştir. Araştırma verilerinin toplanmasında Tanıtıcı Özellikler Formu ve Erişkinlerde Akılcı İlaç Kullanımı Farkındalık Ölçeği kullanılmıştır. Öğrencilere akılcı ilaç kullanımına yönelik sunum ve videolar kullanılarak 60 dakika süre ile eğitim verilmiştir. Eğitim öncesi ve sonrası veri toplama formları uygulanmıştır. Verilerin değerlendirilmesinde sayı, yüzde, ortalama, standart sapma, Wilcoxon, Kruskal-Wallis H, Mann-Whitney U testi kullanılmıştır. Objective: Irrational drug use is a significant global and public health issue, including in Turkey Turk. This study aims to assess the knowledge and attitudes of students toward rational drug use . Methods: The study population comprised of 1909 students enrolled in Bakırçay University's 2019-2020 academic year. The sample size of the study was 780 students selected through stratified random sampling from each faculty. Data were collected using the "Rational Drug Use Form," which included demographic characteristics, background, drug use attitudes and behaviors, and the Rational Drug Use Scale. The data were analyzed using SPSS 23.0, and a p-value of <0.05 was considered statistically significant. Results: Of the students, 74.4% were female, and 42.3% were male, with a mean age of 19.9. Of the students, 28.2% self-medicated before consulting a doctor when sick, and 57.6% used medication for headaches without consulting a doctor. Additionally, 73.6% of them primarily used over-the-counter painkillers. Based on the Rational Drug Use Scale score of ≥35, which is considered the cut-off point in the literature, 491 students (73.3%) knew about rational drug use Conclusion: The students' knowledge of rational drug use was found to be above the average. However, campus courses and projects must be organized, and medical units should be supported, despite students' awareness of rational drug use
