Developing a new industrial enzyme application: A strategy

Abstract: Many companies view industrial enzymes as potential tools for making technological breakthroughs in their industries. Some have created special biotechnology groups to pursue this aim. Too often their projects are terminated before the intended goals are met. A major reason is too much time was consumed for too little perceived gain.
