Developing a simulator of renewable energy as a learning media of energy conversion

Abstract: Abstract. A renewable energy is a new topic in education in Indonesia, especially for vocational education. The problem is the teaching trainer as a learning media is still not available at Universitas Negeri Malang while developing a trainer is expensive. This paper introduces a renewable-energy simulator, which can show the process of converting energy using hybrid solar cell and wind power systems. In case of the solar cell system, the simulator shows the process of converting the sunlight beam to energy pr… Show more

“…In particular, a modeling is a more popular way than another approach to make a suitable system from the natural processes. In detail, the modeling approach is formed in clarifies assumptions, variables, and parameters [18], [19], [21], [22]. By considering the mathematical engineering, the typical mathematical modeling techniques include computer-aided design, finite element modeling, and analysis.…”

“…A model can also be also used to plan the amount of evaluation required to meet desired levels in various fields [1]- [5]. In addition, the model is used to find the optimal allocation of the UC among the various generators available to serve the load [8]- [11], [34], [36]- [38]. Recently, many strategies are developed to explore a UC considering the fuel cost, emission, transmission line losses, weighting factors, and others [5], [23]- [25].…”

“…Nowadays, about 85% of the energy is produced from fossil fuels, whereas tidal, wind, biomass, hydroelectric, and solar energy harvesting have undergone rapid development. [7][8][9] Despite their lower efficiency as compared to inorganic counterparts, organic solar cells (OSCs) represent an alternative technology with reduced material costs/ environmental pollution and facilitated manufacturing process. 10,11 In principle, organic photovoltaic cells are capable of converting photons into electrons and supplying electricity Scheme 1 The main application areas of CN-capped organic molecules covered in this review.…”
