The aim of this study is to determine the important and methodological aspect of examining the population migration patterns of distance education and university students' geography course. 420 university students who continue their education in Kazakhstan participated in the research in the spring term of 2020-2021. Scanning method was used in the research. In the research, a measurement tool called the general opinion measurement tool for the geography lesson, which was developed by the researchers and collected by taking expert opinion in the field of geography, was used. In the research, a 4-week online seminar was organized to increase the views of university students about the geography lesson, and training was given over Microsoft Teams, the interview form was collected with electronic forms after the seminar. The collected data were analyzed using spss program. According to the results of the study, it was concluded that university students' inclination to geography course is higher than male students, university students are familiar with the system for 1-3 years, their inclination to distance education systems is high and population migration patterns are learned well with this system. Media technologies make it simple for students to access accurate information wherever and whenever they want at a lower cost, however, many studies show that children do not see a difference between the real world and the fictional media world until they reach the age of 12. This study aims to determine primary school students' professional activity adaptation based on media technologies. The study was conducted in the spring term of 2020 - 2021, with 339 elementary school students voluntarily participating. The "Media technologies" questionnaire developed by the researchers was applied to primary school students. The questionnaire was developed and edited by experts in the field. Collected data were analyzed using an SPSS program. Frequency, percentage, average, standard deviation, minimum and maximum values, One Way Anova, and T-test were applied to analyze the data obtained from the media technologies survey. According to the results of the study, it was concluded that elementary school students have high results in determining media technologies concepts. This study aims to reveal the global challenges encountered by Islamic higher education in Indonesia and the transformation of Islamic Education in the era of globalization, namely the digital era and the industrial revolution 4.0. This research employs a qualitative method using a sociological approach. The data were obtained through interviews with lecturers and practitioners of Islamic Education at the Faculty of Education and Teacher Training at Alauddin State Islamic University of Makassar (UIN Alauddin Makassar). The findings of this study revealed that Islamic Education is urgently needed by the community in the midst of advances in science and technology. Islamic Education is viewed as an educational paradigm that can prevent modern society from being trapped in a value shock or culture shock. Transforming Islamic Education's principles and values is critical in countering the current and future global challenges. This study gives insights on the development of Islamic knowledge and the development of community-based human resources, particularly on the integration of Islamic teachings into general studies. Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkap tantangan global yang dihadapi perguruan tinggi Islam di Indonesia dan transformasi Pendidikan Islam di era globalisasi yaitu era digital dan revolusi industri 4.0. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan sosiologis. Data diperoleh melalui wawancara dengan dosen dan praktisi Pendidikan Agama Islam pada Fakultas Keguruan dan Ilmu Pendidikan Universitas Islam Negeri Alauddin Makassar (UIN Alauddin Makassar). Temuan penelitian ini mengungkapkan bahwa Pendidikan Agama Islam sangat dibutuhkan oleh masyarakat di tengah kemajuan ilmu pengetahuan dan teknologi. Pendidikan Islam dipandang sebagai paradigma pendidikan yang dapat menghindarkan masyarakat modern agar tidak terjebak dalam kejutan nilai (value shock) atau kejutan budaya (culture shock). Transformasi prinsip-prinsip dan nilai-nilai Pendidikan Islam sangat penting dalam menghadapi tantangan global saat ini dan masa depan. Penelitian ini menambah wawasan mengenai perkembangan ilmu keislaman dan perkembangan sumber daya manusia yang berbasis masyarakat khususnya dalam integrasi ajaran Islam ke dalam studi umum.
