To leadership to the principal of the school plays an important role in improve the competence of teachers in their schools. Efforts to increase this are carried out by making policies that are translated into programs to increase teacher competency. This study aims to describe; (1) Principal Management in Improving Teacher Competence; (2) Principal Management Success in Increasing Teacher Competence; (3) Supporting factors, inhibiting factors and solutions for Principal Management in Improving Teacher Competence at SD N Medan City, North Sumatra. This research is in the form of qualitative research, the data collection method used is observation, interviews, and documentation. The research results show that Principal management in improving teacher competence, namely : (1) Involving teachers in training, training and seminars, (2) Implementation of supervision (3) Prioritizing discipline, (4) Motivating teachers. Application of leadership management school principals in improving teacher competence greatly affect the competence of teachers in SD N Medan City, North Sumatra, namely that the teachers have started apply the basic competency standards regulated by the government as well as possible. In implementing the program there will be supporting factors, inhibiting factors and leadership management solutions principal in improving teacher competence in Elementary School Medan City, North Sumatra.

This study aims to test the validity and practicality of teaching materials E-module Dilan Android-based (Didroid) on hot material for elementary school students. The research method applied is Research and Development (R&D) method with Sugiyono development model. This study uses data collection techniques in the form of observation, interviews and questionnaire instruments filled by media experts, material experts, as well as student and teacher users. Data analysis techniques used are quantitative and qualitative analysis to describe the results of the questionnaire assessment. The results showed that the E-module Didroid developed meet the criteria of valid and practical. The results of media validation get a score of 100 so that it is included in the very valid category. The results of the validation of the material get a score of 96.7% on the aspect of Self Instruction, a score of 100% on the aspect of Self Contained, a score of 80% on the aspect of Self Alone, a score of 93.3% on the aspect of self adaptive, and a score of 80% on the aspect of User Friendly so that it enters the category of very valid and valid. The results of the practicality of student users get a score of 90% and teacher users get a score of 100% so that it enters the category of very practical. It can be concluded that the E-module developed Didroid valid, practical, and feasible to use in science learning in Grade V Elementary School. E-module Didroid easy to understand, easy to use, attractive, and can be used as a reference teaching materials that use digital technology.

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah Untuk mengetahui bahan ajar yang akan dikembangkan, Untuk mengetahui kelayakan bahan ajar Tema 3 pembelajaran 1. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan metode Research and Development (R&D) dengan model pemgembangan Borg and Gall yang mempunyai 10 tahapan namun peneliti membatasi hanya dilakukan pada 6 langkah atau tahapan diantaranya yaitu: potensi dan masalah, pengumpulan data, desain produk, validasi desain, revisi desain, uji coba produk. dikarenakan untuk menuju tahap ke 10 itu memerlukan biaya yang cukup banyak dan waktu yang agak lama. Hasil penelitian ini adalah Bentuk pengembangan media pembelajaran berupa Bigbook, Hasil uji kelayakan bahan ajar Bigbook pembelajaran 1 tema 3 kelas 2 SD/MI yang telah dikembangkan pada penelitian ini menunjukkan presentase kevalidan yang sangat valid atau sangat layak untuk digunakan. Dengan presentase sebesar 97,5% diperoleh dari penilaian ahli media dengan kriteria “sangat layak”, dan presentase sebesar 90% dengan kriteria “sangat layak” diperoleh dari penilaian ahli materi.
