This study has the purpose of explaining the trend of library development in Indonesia from 2017-2021, studying the significance, and analysing the effects on the development of literacy skills in schools. This study was designed as a quantitative descriptive, comparison, and correlational analysis. The results of this study indicate that the trend of Library Growth in Indonesia continuously increased except in 2018 due to a regrouping policy for primary schools. Secondly, the library growth in Indonesia has shown a significant difference each year in public and private schools. Although in 2018, there was no significant difference in terms of the average percentage of library growth for schools in both public and private environments, what happened in 2019 and 2020 showed different things. Both public and private school libraries have demonstrated significant differences in the average percentage growth of libraries to schools in 2019 and 2020. Even in 2021, the average accumulation percentage of growth in the number of libraries in public schools is already above 90%, while in private schools, it is still below 90%. Lastly, a significant moderate positive relationship between the national average libraries to school ratio and Alibaca Index/Reading Literacy Score means that a library's presence in schools has moderately influenced students' literacy skills.

Backgrounds: This study aims to describe the implementation of threelanguage literacy by literacy ambassadors in developing language literacy and increasing literacy interest in students at SD Negeri Nayu Barat 02. Methods: The method used in this study is qualitative with a case study design. Sources of data were collected by conducting observations, interviews, and documentation. While data analysis using an interactive analysis model includes the stages of data collection, data reduction, data presentation and conclusion. The data validity technique is technique triangulation and source triangulation. Results: The literacy program at SDN Nayu Bart 02 is carried out by literacy ambassadors. Literacy ambassadors are selected students from the class tasked with introducing three languages. Three-language literacy is implemented using the habituation method, the habituation method with greetings in three languages. This program can improve students' language literacy, improve excellent and correct language skills, develop students' independence and self-confidence as students who are creative, innovative, productive, and have character. Novelty: The role of literacy ambassadors is as an information exchange, modeling and reinforcement of peer norms and values and invites students to play an active role in library activities. In this study, there is one role of literacy ambassadors, namely as a modeling model who exemplifies the pronunciation of vocabulary correctly and adequately according to the speech introduced to his colleagues through three languages, namely Javanese, Indonesian, and English.

Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk mengoptimalkan fungsi perpustakaan sebagai pusat belajar yang meningkatkan literasi siswa sekolah mitra. Sasaran kegiatan ini yaitu MI Idzharul Ulum Desa Bakalanpule Kecamatan Tikung Kabupaten Lamongan. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan ini yaitu 1) Focus Group Discussion (FGD), 2) pengadaan buku-buku terbitan terbaru, 3) penyuluhan manajemen perpustakaan sekolah, dan 4) pendampingan praktik manajemen perpustakaan. Kegiatan pengabdian ini berjalan dengan lancar dan mendapat respon positif dari pihak-pihak terkait. Manfaat dari kegiatan pengabdian ini yaitu adanya peningkatan manajemen perpustakaan MI Idzharul ulum, diantaranya 1) ruangan perpustakaan lebih tertata dan menarik pengecatan ulang serta penyediaan ruang baca, 2) buku-buku yang tersedia merupakan koleksi terbaru sesuai kebutuhan siswa, 3) perawatan buku-buku dengan pemberian coding dan sampul buku, 4) penataan buku sesuai kategori, 5) adanya katalog buku, dan 6) adanya peraturan meminjam serta membaca di perpustakaan.
