“…The fistulose species from European localities are found mainly in bryozoan sediments and from hardground cavities or Thalassinoides burrows near Maastricht and Stevns Klint. In these burrow lumen, the preservation of fragile smaller fossils, especially of delicate bryozoans, is extremely good because they were sheltered from wave action and currents (Voigt 1959). Bryozoa occurring in these deposits represent various zoarial groups; they form erect branching or lamellar flat-creeping colonies.…”
