Duty and Sacrifice: A Logical Analysis of the Mīmāṃsā Theory of Vedic Injunctions

Abstract: The Mīmāṁ sā school of Indian philosophy has for its main purpose the interpretation of injunctions that are found in a set of sacred texts, the Vedas.
